Ebonyi State: Council Chairman lauds President Tinubu Over 118.85 kilometer Calabar-Ebonyi- Benue-Nasarawa Super Highway

The Chairman of Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Mrs. Peace Agwu, has expressed delight over the recent flag-off of the 118.85 kilometer Calabar-Ebonyi- Benue-Nasarawa- Abuja super highway.
Mrs Agwu made the remark in an interview with newsmen, during the flag-off of the Ebonyi axis of the project at the Afikpo Local Goverment Area of the state.
She also extolled the efforts of the Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru and the Minister of works, Engr. David Umahi, in ensuring that the project was actualised.
According to her, “this super highway will serve as a vital arterial route connecting three major geopolitical zones in our country and upon its completion, it will not only enhance accessibility but also significantly boost trade and economic activities across the regions it traverses.”
She noted that the project will create job opportunities for the local communities, and turn around the economic fortunes of the region, by lifting many families in the area above poverty lines.
The local government chairman urged community members to support the initiative and collaborate with state authorities to ensure timely completion of the project
She further said, “this project is more than just a road; it is a pathway to prosperity for our people. We are confident that with the diligence of our leaders and the cooperation of the people, this highway will become a reality.
“This is a testament to the visionary leadership of our government. The super highway is poised to revolutionise transportation and economic activities in the region, and our people should rally behind the government, to maximise the benefits,” she emphasised.
President Bola Tinubu was represented on the occasion, by the Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru
