Nigeria Police Confers Akamkpa Council Chairman  With Strategic Security Award

Nigeria Police Force has conferred the Chairman of Akamkpa Local Government Council, Hon. Felix Akposi, KSJI, with Strategic Security Service award.

The award, which was conferred on Akposi by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Jomoh Moshood, was in recognition of his outstanding contributions to security and effective grassroots policing.

In a statement signed by Daniel Agbor, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS), to Akamkpa local government chairman, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Jomoh Moshood, lauded the Akposi exceptional track record in tackling security-related issues within Akamkpa and beyond. 

CP Moshood noted that Hon. Akposi’s synergy with security agencies, creation of strategic security units, and proactive monitoring structures have significantly improved local policing outcomes.

“This award is not just ceremonial but it is a testament to the impact of leadership that takes security seriously.

" Akposi has worked closely with our officers, established efficient security units, and shown unwavering commitment to public safety,” CP Moshood stated during the award presentation ceremony."

Thanking the Police Command, Hon. Felix Akposi Hon. Akposi expressed deep gratitude to the Nigerian Police, attributing the recognition to divine favour and collective effort. 

“First of all, I want to thank God Almighty for this honour. I appreciate the good people of Akamkpa for their unrelenting support. To my dear wife, Mrs. Glory Felix Akposi, thank you for always standing by me. 

"This success is the product of a dedicated and hardworking team. I dedicate this award to God and thank His Excellency, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State, for giving me the opportunity to serve,” he said.
