Cross River: Cameroon Ambazonian Militants Invade Belekete Community, Kill 4, Abduct Village Head, 25 Women, 6 Others

Tragedy struck Belekete Community in Obanliku local government area of Cross River state as Cameroon Ambazonian militants have killed four persons, abducted village head, twenty-five women and six others.
The militants also killed four youths and domestic animals including goats and uncountable number of chickens as well as carted away food items worth hundreds of thousands of Naira.
Investigations by THE BEAGLE NEWS revealed that the militants have for the past few months been terrorising Belegete people and finally invaded the community on December 5 and 6 adopted village head (chief Ogweshi Francis), four youths and two others.
A witness, who identifies himself as Agba Agba, said adopted women were taken to the militants' camp across the border river, which divide Nigeria and Cameroon.
He said the victims are yet to be rescued as at Saturday.
The witness said the Nigerian army, JTF, had arrived Belegete village and have engaged the bandits on a gum duel.
Sources close to the community told THE BEAGLE NEWS that hundreds have fled to neighbouring village for safety.
