C'River; Uproar As APC Stalwarts Divert Palliatives In Ikom

Indications are rife that palliatives allocated by SEMA for the underprivileged people in Ikom  might have been hijacked by a few chieftains of the ruling APC as investigation by THE BEAGLE NEWS.

Inside sources revealed that  shortly the State Emergency Management Agency,SEMA  handed over  the consignment meant for Ikom to the leaders,  APC took over the items and begun sharing  to party faithfuls.

Some indigenes who spoke with our reporter in Ikom expressed dissatisfaction in the sharing formula which will see the APC party leaders getting the Lion share.

"It is disheartening that at this time when the tension is very high amid the Nationwide planned protest, palliatives meant for the ordinary man is been diverted to a few Politicians.

This has been a recurring decimal in Ikom LGA, which has always left the people of Ikom feel neglected and abandoned, we thought this was not going to be business as usual.

"The State Government should act swiftly and put an end to this rot before the situation gets out of hand" they said.
