C'River Strategic For Rice Production, Processing

NEPC, Cross River State Coordinator, Mr. Osas'Damian Omorogbe has posited that the state is strategically position to contribute significantly to rice production to meet the local food demands and the global rice market.
Omorogbe was addressing a one day workshop on good Agricultural practices,GAP for improved rice production and processing in the state.
The workshop with the theme "enhancing rice production and processing for export" held at the farmers auditorium agro park, yala is in pursuant of the Council's mandate towards diversifying the country's export products base
The programme which was geared towards sensitization of participants on the potentials of the state on rice production for exports also had a presentation on GAP for rice production and processing by an expert from the Cross River State Agricultural Development Programme, Director of Technical Services, Dr Ubi Obeten.
