Yuletide: Jarigbe, Akpanke Distribute N30m, 900 Bags of Rice To Constituents in Obanliku/Bekwarra/Obudu Fed. Constituency

The Senator, representing Cross River North, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, and Hon. Peter Akpanke, representing Obanliku/Bekwarra/Obudu federal constituency, have rolled the Yuletide season with the distribution of N30 million and 900 bags of rice to constituents.
The breakdown showed that each of the 30 wards in the constituency would receive the sum of N1m and 30 bags of rice each.
The lawmakers made the disclosure during the visit to their constituents in three local government areas of Bekwarra, Obudu and Obanliku as part of activities to commence the Christmas celebration.
Speaking, Jarigbe said: "I wish to remind us all that the example of Jesus Christ and his birth as the prince of peace, conveys to us, the optimism of hope that we can be better than our current circumstances.
"I appreciate the people for electing Hon. Akpanke, who is a pillar. I, therefore, call on all communities in the federal constituency to do their utmost, uphold peace and harmony and work with security agencies to maintain law and order."
Emphasising the reason for the season, Hon. Peter Akpanke, said: "Christmas is a season of love, unity and peaceful coexistence irrespective of ethnic background, political affiliations, race and gender.
"I appreciate the people for the support, which we have enjoyed so far. I call for more prayers to enable us achieve more in 2024."
Commending the duo for the visit, the state chairman of the PDP, Hon. Venatius Ikem, said the lawmakers have recorded some remarkable achievements within six months.
He called for more support from the constituents to enable the lawmakers do more for the people, adding "with God on our side the sky is our limit."
