The member representing Ikom 1 state constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Samuel Neji Abang has lauded the state governor Senator Bassey Otu for his move to rehabilitate and upgrade the comprehensive children clinic Ikom, to a standard General Hospital.
Hon. Abang who made the commendation while speaking to newsmen at the venue of the 4 day medical outreach in Ikom organised by the wife of the governor Rev. The lawmaker who described the Governor's order as people oriented said the upgrade was long overdue as Ikom metropolis was in dire need of a cottage hospital.
"I ham happy that today my prayer on the floor of the Cross River State House Of Assembly has come to fusion with the state governor's order for the immediate rehabilitation of the comprehensive children clinic Ikom, to a standard General Hospital.
"From the number of cases attended to and surgeries carried out by the team in this outreach, you'll agree with me that Ikom is overdue for an ultra modern medical facility.
"I thank the Governor sincerely for this gesture and for living up to his people first agenda" Abang said.
