C'River First Lady Flags-off DeNexus Movement's Welfare Intervention Programme

Cross River First Lady and Wife of the Governor, Rev. Mrs Eyoawan Bassey Otu on Friday 7th June 2024, flagged off PROJECT REACH, a welfare intervention programme initiated by the DeNexus movement, a sociopolitical organization in Cross River State.

Rev. Otu, who was by Lady Achi Agbor, Special Adviser on Women Mobilisation - Central, commended the DeNexus for the initiative, acknowledging its importance in improving the well-being of Cross Riverians, especially the less privileged and vulnerable population of the state.

The First Lady further stated that the initiative will, in no small measure, contribute to the present administration's commitment to the people's welfare, while assuring DeNexus Movement of her readiness to work with them, saying their goals are consistent with the Otu-led administration of Cross River State.

In his remarks, DeNexus Movement's Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), Hon. Patrick Ebam Emanghe appreciated the DeNexus Movement's initiative to support the government of the day through its welfare outreach programme and charged the organization to spread to all parts of the State, while emphasizing that the crop of people that make up the organization are such that can achieve anything for the good of the people.

Also speaking, the Director General of the DeNexus Movement, Dr. Cyril Agbor, sought for support from members and all stakeholders in order to continue impacting positively on the society. 

He thanked members of the organization for reposing confidence in him to lead the them that he would not renege on the promise to achieve the objectives of the body.

High point of the event futured the distribution of palliatives to about ten beneficiaries per each ward across the ten wards of Etung LGA, in a well attended event, held at Hotel 45, Ikom.
