C'River-born Detective Bags EFCC Award For Highest Conviction In 2023
The Ibandan command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invested an award of Excellence to its Cross River-born Detective, Dr. David Nkpe for securing first place in conviction in the year 2023.
Nkpe, who took to his Facebook wall to admonish his friends to align with God in order to live a life of purpose, celebrated the award of excellence and certificate of commendation from the commission, expressing optimism that his achievements are signs of many greater things to come.
While promising to use the award as a spur to do more, he commended his team for their support and urged them to strive to better the records they have set.
"My mission to the ancient city of Ibadan seemed daunting yet at the end of the day it was surmountable. A simple assignment just became a mission and God led the way as always. The awards are just a sign of the many good things to come. God is faithful and He alone is worthy of praise," parts of his Facebook post reads.
The EFCC detective maintained that "I thank my team (the Versatile Team EGS Ibadan) for working very smartly and not only winning big but setting a global record. Even at that we will continue to scale new heights. To me, it is both a pleasure and a rare privilege to have been guided by God and His Mighty Hand to mentor a team of dedicated men and women. Congratulations officers."
A regular award-winner, Dr Nkpe holds a record setting First Class Honour degree from the University of Jos from where he joined the services of the EFCC more than sixteen years ago. He hails from Utugwang in Obudu local government area of Cross River State.
