Breaking !!! Panic In Calabar As Armed Robbers Invade Govt. Office, Cart Away Millions

Palpable fears enveloped workers at the Old Secretariat complex adjacent to the Governor's Office in Calabar earlier today when gunmen attacked a Ministry of Education accountant and carted away several millions of Naira.

The ugly incident happened a few hours ago at Michael Ani's Secretariat along Leopard Road, Calabar Municipality.

An eye-witness said the armed men stormed the complex on a motorcycle and headed straight to the victim, who was just alighting from his car after returning from the bank.

The witness said the gunmen numbering two in number and dressed in military camouflage, immediately opened fire at the accountant thereby crippling him on the knee before making away the "Ghana must go" which contained the withdrawal from the bank.

The witness said the robbers seemed to have been trailing the accountant from the bank without him knowing.
