Breaking: Calas Vegas Band Emerge Winner Of 2023 Calabar Carnival

Calas Vegas Band have been declared winner of the 2023 Calabar Carnival after a keenly contested Parade.
Calas Vegas which is one of the newly registered bands that joined the Calabar Carnival parade is identified with the dominant gold color and is lead by the former minister for culture and tourism High Chief Edem Duke.
Passion 4 Band came second while Seagull Band came third.
Other competing Bands in the carnival parade include Bayside Band, Diamond Band, Freedom Band, Master Blaster Band, Passion 4 Band and Seagull Band
Similarly, in the Children Carnival Category Passion 4 emerged winner, Seagull Band came second while Calas Vegas Came third. Odukpani Local Government Area came first, Akpabuyo second and Calabar South third.
For the Cultural Festival, Akwa Ibom State came first, Ebony State second while Edo and Ondo States both came third in the States Category while in the Local Government Category,
Meanwhile, with the approval of the first lady Rev. Mrs. Eyoawan Bassey Otu, the Children Carnival has been renamed "Junior Carnival".
This is in a bid to allow young adults up to the age of 18 to participate.
