APC Chieftain, Obun, To Bury 81-yr-old Mother November, Writes Gov Otu

Former House of Assembly member and chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Hon Cletus Obun, has written to notify Gov. Bassey Otu on mother's death and dates for burial.
Hon Obun, who represented Boki 1 State Constituency in the State House of Assembly between 1999-2003, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before defecting to join the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) as one of the foundation members in Cross River State.
Obun, a committed and loyal party man, who lost his mother days ago, has in a letter signed by himself on behalf of the family, notified Gov. Otu of the demise and extended an invitation to the governor for the burial rites.
The content reads: "With a heart full of grief but with total submission to the will of God, I write to inform you of the sudden demise of my sacrificially loving mother, Mrs Christiana Obun, from the legendary Obun dynasty in Boki LGA of Cross River State.
"This rugged, time tested, vine dresser, took eternal bow to the call of her Creator like all mortals on October 15, 2023 at a very tender but fulfilled age of 81after a brief illness."
According to Hon Obun, Mrs Christiana Obun was a devout Christian with the Roman Catholic faith who devoted all her life in service to God and humanity.
She would be interred according to all the sacred Catholic rites and tradition on 3rd and 4th of November, 2023."
Also contained in the letter, Hon Obun is requesting the esteemed presence of Gov. Bassey Otu to grace the occasion of his mother's funeral as a mark of honor and respect to her, the Obun Dynasty and the entire Boki Nation.
