A'Ibom PDP Congress: Eno, Udom, Eyakenyi, Akpan, Stalwarts Hail PDP Over Unity, Harps on Dedication to Progress

The Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Saturday, July 27, 2024, had conducted her Ward Congress to elect new Ward Executives of the party across the state.
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has commended members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state for massive turn out during the congress, describing the exercise as unity of purpose.
Speaking at Ibiakpan Obotim Ward 2, Nsit Ubium, local government area, Eno, the leader of the Party in Akwa Ibom, urged the party faithful to sustain their dedication and commitment to the success of the Party.
Governor Eno, who enjoined the newly elected Executives of the ward to be committed and dedicated to the growth of the party and members, added that the successful outcome of the congress was an indication that the party was ready for the forthcoming local government elections.
"From the report we have received across the state, congress went well and all the party guidelines and principles were observed. We have our party representatives from Abuja, independent observers as well as INEC around.
"So all the requirements were met. It's been a very peaceful congress and we trust God that this is how it will continue," the Governor affirmed.
Addressing the large crowd of PDP members in Oron, the state deputy governor, Her Excellency, Akon Eyakenyi, lauded the party for ensuring that every member has a sense of belonging which is reflected in the massive show of support and love during the congress.
The State Chairman of the PDP, Elder Aniekan Akpan, corroborated the reports from returning officers in the various wards indicating that the process was very peaceful and smooth, affirming the readiness of the party to participate and win the upcoming local government elections.
The Immediate Past Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel, who attended the congress in his Ward, Awa Ward 1, in Onna, used the opportunity to reiterate his message of loyalty to the PDP and charged members of the party in his ward to contribute their significant quota in protecting government projects in their domain.
