LG Elections Peaceful In Ikom As CROSIEC Records Zero Violence, Electoral Malpractice

The local government election in Ikom local government has been described as smooth and peaceful.
Our correspondent, who monitored the process reported that election material were distributed to wards accompanied by security operatives and party stalwarts from all parties involved around 9: 00am.
In Ikom urban, materials arrived PCN primary school Ikom which is the ward collation center around 9:35 am where distribution to different polling units commenced.
In Olulumo ward where the APC chairmanship candidate Pst. Mercy Nsor hails from, materials arrived Bout 10:25 am and voting commenced around 11:am.
Pst. Mercy Nsor who casted her vote at her polling unit 004 Effi (Round About) expressed satisfaction over the entire process which she described as hutch free.

In Ofutop 1 ward where the PDP chairmanship candidate Chryss Ayakor hails from, elections were hitch free as electorates turned out enmass to vote.
In Akparabong ward, our correspondent who monitored the elections reported that voter turnout was not impressive but the process was free, fair and peaceful.
The commissioner for power Price Eka Williams who voted in Nkabani Mkpanjen polling unit in Akparabong commended the state electoral commission (CROSIEC) for the proper conduct of the election which he described as the best local government elections.
As at press time, no report of violence or electoral malpractice has been recorded in Ikom local government.
