he University of Calabar, UNICAL is a citadel of academic pursuit and coincidentally serious infrastructural development work is in progress, but a comparative overview of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), ASUU Chambers and the Senate Chambers presents a classic reflection of our secondary school literature, ‘A Tale of Two Cities’.
While ASUU Chambers is a delectable place to be with candour, aesthetics, ambience and of course not forgetting the interior décor, same cannot be said of the Senate Chambers which is glaringly begging for upgrading attention.
Much to our chagrin is the fact that the Senate Chambers is the seat of the highest academic decision-making enclave and it deserves equal honour just like the ASUU Chambers.
