The breakdown shows that Agricultural and Bioresource Engineering has 28, Chemical Engineering,28, Civil Engineering, 39, Mechanical Engineering, 49, and Petroleum Engineering, 26.
Recall that in 2019, the National Universities Commission (NUC) while granting approval for the programmes, ordered the step down of the students, who were then in their Year 3 and 4, to Year 2.
However, the programmes got full NUC accreditation in 2023 and COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) accreditation in 2024.
Expressing gratitude, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Engr. Prof. Odey Ade Osha, commended the golden jubilee Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Prof. Florence Banku Obi, for her unwavering support to the faculty.
OSHA also commended the VC's management team and the pioneer HODs who worked tirelessly to achieve the great feat.
