37th Convocation: UNICAL Mass Comm Produces Best Graduating Student in Faculty of Arts

Miss Azogu Ngozika Delight of the Department of Mass Communication has emerged as the best female and overall best graduating student in the Faculty of Arts, university of Calabar in the just concluded 37th convocation ceremony of the institution held over the weekend.
Azogu who hails from Oguta LGA of Imo State came best with a whooping CGPA of 4.62 was a dedicated student source of inspiration to her contemporaries in the Department of Mass Communication, Faculty of Arts and the university of large.
In an interview with The Beagle, Azogu
expressed gratitude to God Almighty for his favor and her lecturers for their dogged concern during the journey, describing her achievement as a true reflection of hard work perseverance.
"I feel favored by God and incredibly honored and grateful to be recognized as the best graduating student of my department and the Faculty at large. This achievement is a reflection of hard work, dedication, and perseverance."
She added that her emergence is a testament that dedication and resilience are keyways to excellence while calling on the young generation to get inspired by the virtue. She also maintained that the milestone is not just for her alone but a big win to the Faculty and the university community.
"For me, this isn’t just a personal victory it is a reminder that excellence is attainable with discipline and consistency. It also reinforces my belief that education is a powerful tool for transformation. I hope my journey inspires others to pursue their goals with passion and resilience, knowing that success is within reach for those who stay committed."
Reacting to the development, the Head of Department of Mass Communication, Dr. Lawrence Ekwok, expressed satisfaction and thanked the two former HODs of the Department, Dr. Joseph Ekpang and Prof. Uzoma C. Okugo, academic and non-teaching staff of the department and all Team Mass Comm for the roles they played to ensure that the department meets an enviable height.
Dr. Ekwok extolled the excellent performance of the student in writing the department's name in UNICAL' golden records and admonished other students to emulate from Azogu.
