NDDC, Partners Commences Five-Day Medical Mission Offering Free Surgeries and Consultations

A free medical outreach organized by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Renewed Hope Initiative, Medical Women Association of Nigeria and other partners has kicked off in Calabar, Cross River State.
The outreach which began on Monday November 24, holding at the Calabar Women and Children Hospital in Calabar is providing residents with access to specialist healthcare services at no cost and will run for five days.
The outreach according to the organisers offers offers a range of services which include dentistry, Eye Care, surgeries, obstetrics and gynaecology, laboratory Investigations, full medical Consultations and Patients comprehensive medical check-ups as well as free medications.
Beneficiaries also received free medications and health promotion counselling.
Many have praised the initiative, saying it's timely and commendable, especially for those who couldn't afford these services otherwise.
The outreach according to the Cross River State NDDC Commissioner Rt. Hon Orok Duke is part of the commissions 25th-anniversary celebrations and reflects the Commission's efforts to improve public welfare in the Niger Delta region.
Dr. Duke encouraged residents to take advantage of the programme which will be available daily from 9am to 5pm until Friday, November 28, 2025.
