NBA Condemns Police Tinted Permit, Electronic Central Motor Registry Licensing Policies

THE Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has condemned in totality the Nigerian Police Tinted Permit and Electronic Central Motor Registry Licensing Policies, describing it as unconstitutional, oppressive, and a tool for extortion.
The NBA also vehemently condemned the DSS screening of Senior Advocates of Nigeria advocates, describing it as degrading, extraneous, and inconsistent with Rule 23 of the Rules of Professional Conduct
NBA NEC, therefore, resolved to advocate for a comprehensive review of the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee (LPPC) guidelines to safeguard the dignity, independence, and integrity of the process.
These are contained in a communique and resolutions from the NBA NEC pre-conference meeting held in Enugu held on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
