Jarigbe Celebrates Yala New Yam Festival With Rep Offiono, Chiefs
The Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, on Saturday, joined the people of Yala Local Government Area to celebrate the 2025 New Yam festival.
The festival is a significant cultural event that showcases the rich heritage and agricultural traditions of the Yala people.
Senator Jarigbe in company of some party leaders, including PDP State Chairman, Hon. Vena Ikem, Chief Igbe Aruku, Chief John George, Prof. Zana Akpagu, Mr. John Atsu, Joe Ulom, visited Rep Godwin Offiono at his Okuku residence to click glassws and toast to the good harvest and beginning of the community New year calendar.
The delegation also visited the Senator's Coordinator in Yala local government area, Chief Ogbuole Agi, who hosted party faithful, chiefs, and well-meaning constituents to celebrate the annual festival.
There at Yala, the Senator unveiled a skill acquisition center for training and empowering fashion enthusiasts.
He felicitated with the good people of Yala and advised them to continue with the spirit of unity and oneness.
According to him, development can only thrive in an atmosphere that
guarantees tranquility and peaceful coexistence.
