Mkpani Agog As Eteng Inaugurates Tinubu Support Group

Mkpani, hometown of Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, was agog on Friday night as the federal lawmaker received a rousing welcome from residents and supporters during his homecoming visit to Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River.

The visit featured the formal inauguration of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), an initiative aimed at mobilising grassroots support for President Bola Tinubu and galvanising massive votes for his re-election in the 2027 general elections.

The atmosphere was electrifying as men, women and youths trooped out in large numbers to welcome the senator, expressing excitement and solidarity through enthusiastic chants and celebrations.

The inauguration also served as a prelude to the presidential rally scheduled to hold in Calabar on Monday, as political stakeholders and supporters intensified mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.

The overwhelming reception accorded Senator Williams reflected the enthusiasm of his constituents and their readiness to identify with the political activities surrounding his homecoming.

The senator also demonstrated concern for the welfare of residents by extending financial assistance to beneficiaries across different segments of the community, including women, men and children.

The event brought together supporters and community members in a show of solidarity with the senator and the Tinubu Support Group's mobilisation drive.

For residents of Mkpani, the homecoming provided an opportunity to celebrate their son while reaffirming their support for his political engagements.
