Katsina United Player Ozor Chinedu Dies After Collapsing During Pre-Season Friendly

Katsina United midfielder Ozor Chinedu has reportedly passed away after collapsing during a pre-season match against Niger Tornadoes on Tuesday morning.

According to the club, the newly signed player slumped on the pitch during the friendly game. He was immediately rushed to hospital but could not be revived.

Details surrounding the exact cause of death have not yet been released, as the club said medical officials are still compiling a report.

Chinedu only recently joined Katsina United ahead of the new NPFL season. 

The club described him as a “committed and promising player” who was eager to make an impact.
