JUST IN: Cross River Assembly Lifts Suspension on Hon. Ovat Agbor

The Cross River State House of Assembly has lifted the suspension placed on Hon. Ovat Agbor.

In plenary on Thursday, members cited his genuine remorse and unreserved apology over his conduct that led to his suspension.  

The decision was taken during Tuesday’s plenary, where lawmakers acknowledged what they described as Hon. Agbor’s “sober disposition” which has shown steps taken to make amends. 

Members noted that his expressions of regret and commitment to moving forward positively demonstrated sincerity.  

The House said the move reflects its recognition of Hon. Agbor’s accountability and willingness to reconcile with all parties.
