Renowned Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani has died at the age of 91 at his home in Milan. 

His company, the Armani Group, confirmed the news in a statement on Thursday, describing him as the "tireless driving force" behind the global brand.

Armani's designs revolutionized modern business dress and Italian fashion, characterized by fluid tailoring and relaxed silhouettes. 

He built a global empire worth over $10 billion, expanding his brand to include clothing, accessories, home furnishings, perfumes, cosmetics, and more. 

Armani's influence extended beyond fashion, with his designs featured in over 200 films and worn by Hollywood stars.

The Armani Group paid tribute to its founder, saying, "With infinite sorrow, the Armani Group announces the passing of its creator, founder, and tireless driving force: Giorgio Armani." The statement highlighted Armani's dedication to his work, noting that he "worked until his final days, dedicating himself to the company, the collections, and the many ongoing and future projects".
