I Can Confirm That Jonathan 'll Cotest 2027 Presidential Elelction, Jerry Gana

One of the chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Jerry Gana has confirmed that former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will be contesting in the forthcoming presidential election in 2027.

This statement was contained in a report that was published on the official X handle of VANGUARD on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

In the report that surfaced online, the PDP chieftain said the former President will be contesting under the PDP.

His statement is coming after Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was recently seen with the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, David Mark. The PDP chieftain stated that Nigerians have been yearning for the return of the former President.

Jerry Gana stated that he's confident that Nigerians will vote for Jonathan because they have seen the difference between his administration and the once that have come after.

“I can confirm that Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will contest the presidential election in 2027 as PDP candidate, and we should be prepared to vote for him to return as President again".
