He further acknowledged his political family, the All Progressives Congress in Cross River State, particularly the APC Obubra Chapter, for any negative attention the incident may have drawn.

“My sincere apology also goes to my wife’s family and my own family for the emotional stress this matter has caused,” he said.

Addressing publicr speculation, the lawmaker admitted that his initial silence allowed misinformation to spread. “While many narratives circulating online do not accurately reflect the true situation, I take full responsibility for not coming out earlier to address the issue publicly. I acknowledge that my silence created room for speculation, and for that I am deeply sorry,” he stated.

Agbor concluded by reaffirming his commitment to his constituents, promising to serve with humility, responsibility, and renewed dedication.

Observers say the lawmaker’s apology reflects an effort to take responsibility and restore public confidence, highlighting the importance of accountability and ethical conduct among elected officials in Cross River State.
