DELVAN President Applauds Okoyong Traditional Council Over Chieftaincy Honour

The National President of the Delivery Vehicles Owners and Drivers Association of Nigeria, DELVAN, Chief Anta Denuo Ankioag Eyibio Raphael Sabbestine, has commended the Okoyong Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs for conferring on him the honorary chieftaincy title, describing the recognition as a call to deeper service to the community.
Speaking after the conferment ceremony held in Okoyong, Odukpani Local Government Area, Chief Eyibio expressed appreciation to the traditional institution for the honour, which he said reflects the council’s commitment to recognising selfless service and community oriented leadership.
“I accept this honour with humility and a deep sense of responsibility. It is not just a title but a renewed charge to promote unity, peace and development in Okoyong,” he said.
Chief Eyibio thanked the Chairman of the Okoyong Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs, His Royal Highness Obong Ita Okon Ekpo, and members of the council for the confidence reposed in him. He also acknowledged the support of community leaders, youths and residents, noting that their encouragement had inspired his sustained involvement in community affairs.
He reaffirmed his commitment to leveraging his professional background and national platform as DELVAN President to support civil security, youth engagement and development initiatives within the Okoyong community.
The chieftaincy title, Anta Denuo Ankioag, was conferred in recognition of Chief Eyibio’s contributions to peace building, community safety and cohesion. Traditional rulers at the event described him as a service oriented leader whose conduct has consistently brought dignity to the Okoyong community.
The ceremony attracted traditional rulers, community stakeholders and well wishers from within and outside Odukpani Local Government Area, marking what the council described as a significant cultural milestone for the Okoyong people.
