David Villa Returns to Atlético Madrid as Advisor, Joins Board of Directors

David Villa has returned to Atlético Madrid as an advisor and member of the club’s Board of Directors.

The former Spanish international confirmed his return to the club, expressing excitement about taking on new responsibilities while continuing to support Atlético’s growth.

“I’m very happy to return to the club with new responsibilities, but with the same desire to keep helping make Atlético Madrid bigger season after season,” Villa said.

He noted that the club has experienced significant progress in recent years and expressed hope that his contribution would help sustain the team’s success.

“The club has experienced several years of great growth, and I hope to contribute so that we continue achieving success. I’m very grateful that they thought of me for this role,” he added.

Villa, who enjoyed a successful spell with Atlético during his playing career, returns this time in an administrative capacity.
