Cult Clash Claims Two Lives in Ikom

An ongoing cult clash in Okuni Community, Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State, has left two people dead and beheaded.
The victims, identified as Cornel Orim and a fellow cult member known as Zenge, were allegedly killed by members of the Klansmen cult in a reprisal attack.
Sources said the attack was carried out in retaliation for the killing of Alobi Nsor, an alleged member of the Klansmen cult, by the Vikings in July.
Cornel Orim was reportedly the mastermind behind Nsor's killing and had been in hiding since the incident.
"He was eventually traced to his farm plantation in the forest on Tuesday afternoon where he and his close ally, Zenge, were ambushed, killed, and beheaded by suspected Klansmen".
"The death of Cornel has brought some kind of relief for both his members, the Vikings, and the Klansmen. He was notorious and known for terrorizing rival cultists and even his own members," a source said.
The community is now gripped with fear of further violence, with residents anxiously awaiting possible reprisal attacks as the clash between the rival groups intensifies.
