Cross River House of Assembly Suspends Four Councillors

The Cross River State House of Assembly has suspended four members of the Akpabuyo Legislative Council for a period of 90 days over allegations of gross misconduct.

The affected members are:

 1. Hon. Innocent Meukpa

 2. Hon. Patrick Eyo Elim

 3. Hon. Bassey Effiom Edem

 4. Hon. Tete Oyoyo Ubene

The suspension takes effect from Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
