C'River is Home For Tinubu, We Will Deliver 100% - Otu
Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's visit to Calabar on Monday will be a homecoming, describing Cross River as home for the president.
Otu who disclosed this on Sunday while inspecting the U.J Esuene Stadium, venue of the APC presidential campaign rally said the state has placed several demands before the President, many of which have already been acted upon, but the visit would offer an opportunity to deepen discussions on the state's future development.
According to him, Cross River has enjoyed tremendous support from the Tinubu administration, which has made it possible for his government to record positive strides.
"There are things Cross River placed before him, and many he has taken decisions on already. All we want is for him to show here as a great Cross Riverian because this is the home of Jagaban".
"He has done well for us. Almost all positive things done here is done by his support," he added.
Otu expressed optimism that the visit would further cement the relationship between the state and the Federal Government and sustain the momentum of progress.
He assured that Cross Riverians, including traditional rulers, elders, youths and women, were eagerly waiting to receive the President on Monday.
On the forthcoming elections, Otu insisted that the 2027 presidential election will be different from 2023, vowing that the APC will secure 100 percent victory across Cross River State.
He maintained that the party was shortchanged in the last election where it managed only seven local government areas, but expressed confidence that with the current level of mobilization and support for President Tinubu, the narrative will change completely.
