The Commissioner for Health in Cross River State, Dr. Henry Egbe Ayuk, has congratulated the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, on the conferment of an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Policy and Administration by the globally esteemed Crown University of Delaware, USA.

The distinguished ceremony took place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the prestigious University of Lagos, bringing together dignitaries and thought leaders to celebrate excellence in public service and leadership.

In a congratulatory message released through the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ayuk described the honour as a “well-deserved tribute to a man of dedication, discipline, and exceptional administrative capacity.”

“This prestigious recognition is not only a personal milestone but a glowing tribute to your unwavering commitment to public service, policy leadership, and administrative excellence in Cross River State and beyond,” Dr. Ayuk stated.

He lauded Hon. Ironbar’s calm but effective leadership style, particularly in his role as Chief of Staff to Governor Bassey Otu, describing him as a man who embodies clarity of thought, strategic coordination, and rare loyalty — qualities that have endeared him to colleagues across all levels of government.

“You have proven, time and again, that leadership is not only about position, but about purpose, discipline, and the ability to translate vision into meaningful outcomes,” he noted.

Dr. Ayuk further stated that the honorary doctorate is a testament to the growing recognition of Hon. Ironbar’s contribution to public governance and the quiet yet profound impact he has had on Cross River’s policy landscape.

“This is a proud moment for Cross River State and a powerful reminder to all of us in public service that excellence, dedication, and integrity never go unnoticed,” he said.

The Health Commissioner concluded by expressing optimism that the honour will inspire even greater achievements, not only in Hon. Ironbar’s personal journey but in his continued service to the people of Cross River State.

“Congratulations once again, Sir. You are truly deserving of this noble distinction. May this honour open even more doors for impact and legacy,” Dr. Ayuk wrote.

The conferment of the honorary doctorate is expected to further spotlight the leadership strength within Governor Otu’s administration and reinforce the state’s rising reputation for nurturing excellence in public service.
