CRISPON to Nigerian Youth: Emulate Ugi’s IT Skills, Innovative Drive

The Director General, Cross River State Political Network (CRISPON), Prince Dr. Michael Abuo has charged Nigerian youth to leverage on the numerous opportunities available in the Information Technology (IT) sector for self-development and carve a niche for themselves.
He gave the charge while presenting an award of Meritorious Service to the President and Founder of Nugi Technologies, Mr. Ugi Augustine, yesterday in Calabar.
The BEAGLE NEWS reports that the award recipient is a resilient tech entrepreneur and innovation leader, who had defied his personal challenges including surviving a sickle cell disease to build an enviable career in technology.
Presenting the maiden award on behalf of the board and members of CRISPON, Abuo, who is also the Special Adviser to Cross River State governor on Intervention, charged Nigerian youth to emulate Mr. Ugi Augustine’s achievements in technology.
According to Abuo in a brief citation “Mr. Ugi Augustine Ugi is a resilient tech entrepreneur and innovation leader who has overcome significant personal challenges including living with sickle cell disease to build an impactful career in technology.
“He pivoted to computer science and is the founder and President of Nugi Technologies. Ugi has led the company for over 19years, marking its 10th anniversary with a tech showcase that highlighted innovations in software development and data infrastructure.
“The Cross River State Political Network (CRISPON), as the largest socio-political organization in Cross River State, aims to strengthen national bonds, mobilize support for good leadership, build harmony, peace and security across Nigeria.
“Ugi’s achievements align closely with these goals through his contributions to economic empowerment, innovation and community upliftment.
In his acceptance speech, the award recipient; Mr. Augustine Ugi, appreciated CRISPON for finding him worthy to bag the award.
He described the award as a call to greater service, adding that more efforts will be made to improve Cross River State economy through the application of technology in revenue generation.
He called on Nigerian youth to be intentional and passionate about their career path while ensuring integrity in all they do in order to have a good success.
