Breaking: Sen Jarigbe Emerges Consensus Candidate For C'River North Senatorial District

Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe has emerged the consensus candidate for Cross River North senatorial district after extensive consultations with other aspirants from the zone .

Jarigbe has been holding series of meetings with some critical stakeholders and aspirants for the Senate seat.

However, after dialogue, three Senatoria aspirants from Bekwarra LGA including Prof. Ochugudu Ipuele, Barr. Cecilia Adams, and Dr. John Onyi, have officially withdrawn from the race and declared their support for Jarigbe.

With this development, Senator Jarigbe emerges as the consensus aspirant of the APC for the Cross River North Senatorial seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Senatorial primary is slated for Monday, May 18, 2026.
