BREAKING: Ebonyi State: Igariwey Declared Winner of APC Primary For Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency

Rt. Hon Iduma Igariwey has been declared winner of the just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Afikpo/Edda federal constituency.

The returning officer of the election and Commissioner for Education in Ebonyi state, Oguzorkanu Offia-Nwali, said Igariwey won by 9,000 votes. 

Igariwey was a consensus Candidate for APC but his opponent disagreed and they went to polls. 

According to Offia-Nwali, the election was conducted in line with party rules and guidelines and an option A4 was used.

Igariwey was a two term local government chairman and will be going back as a ranking Reps member.

If he wins in 2027, he would be a fourth term NASS member.
