AUX Bishop of Calabar embarks on Visit to the United States

The Auxiliary Bishop of Calabar, His Excellency Most Reverend Christopher Naseri, recently undertook an official pastoral visit to the United States, during which he engaged with priests from the Archdiocese of Calabar on pastoral assignments in various dioceses across the country. This visit afforded Bishop Naseri a significant opportunity to strengthen fraternal bonds and enhance collaboration between the Archdiocese of Calabar and its mission priests abroad.

Throughout the duration of his one-month pastoral tour, Bishop Naseri held meetings with several distinguished prelates, including the Archbishop of Omaha-Nebraska; the Bishops of Knoxville-Tennessee; Des Moines-Iowa; and Cleveland-Ohio. Additionally, he conferred with vicars and administrators of the Dioceses of San Francisco-California, and Metuchen-New Jersey.

The principal objective of these engagements was to consolidate and deepen the relationship between the Archdiocese of Calabar and the foreign dioceses hosting its clergy. The visit was marked by gracious receptions and formal welcomes at each location, accompanied by the ceremonial exchange of gifts, symbolizing mutual respect and ongoing partnership between the sending and receiving churches.

His Excellency Bishop Christopher Naseri concluded his pastoral tour has since returned to Calabar to resume his episcopal responsibilities. The visit has undoubtedly reinforced the commitment to pastoral care and collaboration between Calabar and its international mission communities.
