Akpabio, Wife Join Gov Eno at Memorial Service for Late First Lady of Akwa Ibom

According to a media post on Friday, 26 September 2025, by the Media Aide to the Senate President, Honourable Anietie Ekong, the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and his wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Ekaette Unoma Godswill Akpabio, joined the family of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, at the one-year memorial service in honour of his late wife, Her Excellency Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Umo Eno.

In his remarks, Senator Akpabio described Mrs. Eno as a humble, God-fearing woman who devoted her life to family, service to humanity, and the unity of Akwa Ibom State.

He urged the family to take solace in her enduring impact, noting that her legacy of compassion and service to women, children, and the underprivileged will remain a source of inspiration.

Also present at the service were the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, Senator Hope Uzodinma; wives of governors led by the Wife of Lagos State Governor, Dr. (Mrs.) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu; deputy governors; senators; members of the House of Representatives; senior government officials; traditional rulers; church leaders; and well-wishers.

It was revealed that the event reflected widespread respect for the late Mrs. Patience Eno, whose memory continues to resonate across Akwa Ibom and beyond.
