Ahead of the 2027 political cycle, key stakeholders in Cross River North are consolidating their ranks, as commissioners from the district held a strategic meeting with Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe to deepen collaboration on development and party cohesion.

The engagement, held at the senator’s Abuja residence, highlighted a growing convergence among political actors in the northern senatorial district, with a shared commitment to unity, effective governance, and grassroots impact. The commissioners described the visit as a deliberate move to strengthen synergy and translate political cooperation into measurable benefits for the people.

In his remarks, Senator Jarigbe praised Governor Bassey Edet Otu for ongoing infrastructural projects across Cross River North, noting that the interventions are already improving livelihoods. “The efforts of the state government in improving infrastructure in Cross River North are commendable and are already making a difference in the lives of our people,” he said.

He stressed the central role of stability in development, adding that “no meaningful development can take place without a peaceful and stable environment.”

The lawmaker further urged the commissioners to remain focused and committed, emphasizing that “progress in our region depends on our ability to work together with sincerity, dedication, and a shared vision for development.”

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the commissioners appreciated the senator for the reception and reaffirmed their readiness to work closely with him. “We are committed to working in synergy with the Senator to ensure that development reaches every part of Cross River North,” they stated, adding that “unity within the APC remains key to strengthening the party and delivering on its promises.”

The delegation included Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon. Patrick Egbede, Commissioner for Sports, Hon. Agnes Atsu, Commissioner for Housing, Dr. Beatrice Igwe, and Commissioner for International Donor Coordination, Dr. Hippolatus Lukpata.
