STRENGTHENING PARTNERSHIP FOR A STRONGER COCOA SECTOR IN CROSS RIVER STATE

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Cocoa Produce, Hon. Paul Ndik, together with members of the Cocoa Produce Committee, paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Cross River State, as part of efforts to establish a stronger working relationship between the Cocoa Produce sector and the Nigeria Police Force.

The visit was aimed at seeking the support and collaboration of the Police in strengthening security around cocoa-producing communities, protecting farmers and their produce, and addressing activities that may negatively affect the growth and development of the cocoa industry in the State.

The Special Adviser and his committee appreciated the Commissioner of Police for his warm reception and expressed confidence that stronger collaboration among relevant stakeholders will contribute significantly to the protection and growth of the cocoa sector.

The team also commended His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Cross River State, for his visionary leadership and deliberate efforts to reposition and strengthen the cocoa sector. His commitment to supporting cocoa farmers, improving the value chain, and creating an enabling environment for investment is a major step toward making Cross River State a leading cocoa hub in Nigeria.

The future of cocoa in Cross River State is bright. With collaboration, commitment and purposeful leadership, we will achieve even greater milestones.
