STATE POLICE IS UNAVOIDABLE, PRESIDENT TINUBU DECLARES

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that the establishment of state police is unavoidable because of his administration's desire to confront the insecurity in various parts of the country.
Making the declaration at the presidential Villa in Abuja during a courtesy visit by a delegation of prominent Katsina indigenes, led by Governor Dikko Radda recently, the president reiterated his administration's commitment to restore peace and security to all parts of the country by wrestling insecurity and directed security agencies to review their operations in Katsina State. "I have directed all the security agencies to energise further and look at the strategies. We have approved additional acquisition of drones."
The president noted that considering the present security realities in the country, the creation of state has become unavoidable. "I am reviewing all the aspects of security; I have to create state police. We are looking at that holistically." Tinubu, assured.
