Senator Jarigbe Mourns Media Veteran Ogar Solomon

Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, representing Cross River North Senatorial District, has expressed profound grief over the death of Comrade Ogar Solomon Ogar, a respected journalist, communications expert, and CEO of Solomon Island Communication.
Solomon, widely admired for his professional excellence and dedication to community development, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025.
During a condolence visit to the bereaved family in Abuja on Sunday, Senator Jarigbe described the news of Solomon’s death as a “rude shock,” noting that it came at a time when Cross River North and the state at large were beginning to reap the benefits of his vast experience and unwavering commitment to public enlightenment.
“This loss is not just personal to his family but to our entire senatorial district,” Jarigbe said, while urging constituents to reflect on the pressing need to address healthcare challenges in the region.
The Senator was accompanied on the visit by Hon. (Barr.) Godwin Offiono, Member representing Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
