Police investigate attack on ADC Secretariat, Oyegun's residence

The Edo State Police Command on Wednesday said it was already investigating Tuesday'S attacks on the State Secretariat of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Benin City shortly after leaders of the party including Peter Obi received the Labour Party (LP) 2024 governorship candidate in the state, Olumide Akpata.

The suspected hoodlums also went to the residence of Odigie-Oyegun who was said to be holding a meeting with some of the VIP visitors when they attacked vehicles parked by his gate with gunshots and destruction of some of the vehicles.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Eno Ikoedem said "Investigation has already been started by the police, no arrest has been made as at now and we will communicate to you as investigation progresses" she Said.
