PDF Scholars Commend Sen Williams, As One Achieves Distinction in Master’s Programme
Beneficiaries of the 2024/2025 PTDF Overseas Scholarship Program facilitated by Senator Representing Cross River Central Senatorial District, Eteng Williams, have commenced the lawmaker for empowering the constituents.
The scholars made the commendation when they paid the Senator a visit in London.
The beneficiaries hailed Williams for prioritising education, which is seen
as the most impactful form of human capacity development.
One of the beneficiaries, Yibala Ikoi, said education is capable of transforming lives and shaping destinies.
Senator Williams ecently facilitated another batch of PTDF scholarships for constituents of Cross River Central.
Speaking also, Yeneochia Ogar Agbor, another PTDF scholar, informed the Senator that she will be graduating with Distinction in her Master of Science in Toxicology from Heriot-Watt University, UK, on 29th November 2025.
Senator Williams, who serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), is currently in London for a national assignment on Oil and Gas Investment Forum.
The visiting scholars included Yibala Ikoi (M.Sc.), Simon Utsu (Ph.D.), and Etim Akpama (Ph.D.), all of whom are pursuing advanced degrees in reputable universities across the United Kingdom.
During the meeting, Senator Williams urged them to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to academic excellence, noting that their conduct and performance would inspire confidence and create opportunities for younger constituents in the future.
