Orok Bassey Okon to Take Over from Eteng As New C'River Head of Service

Cross River State Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, has appointed Mr. Orok Bassey Okon as the new Head of the State Civil Service, effective September 19, 2025. 

This appointment follows the retirement of Dr. Innocent Ebri Eteng, whose dedication and excellence in service were commended by the governor.

A release signed by the chief press Secretary Linus Obogo states that the appointment takes effect from September 19, 2025.

Mr. Orok Bassey Okon served as Permanent Secretary (Exco) in the Governor's office before his appointment. His wealth of administrative experience is expected to bring renewed efficiency and leadership to the civil service, aligning with Governor Otu's "People-First" agenda.
