Ntiti Urges Girls to Inculcate Positive Virtues
A seasoned educationist and octogenarian, Dame Ntunkae Lady Margaret Ntiti, has urged girls to adopt positive values of discipline, respect, hardwork and fear of God, in order to become great and responsible members of the society.
In an address made available to our editorial desk, in commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child, Lady Margaret Ntiti, admonished girls to see themselves as valuable and indispensable members of the society, who can bring about positive impacts for all round transformation.
According to the Octogenarian, gone are the days were girls were undermined, disregarded and considered as dispensable tools. She reminded young women about their contemporaries who are making great impacts in sciences, sports, technology, humanities, medicine and other areas of human endeavours and charged them to empower themselves to become relevant in a competitive world. "You have to make up your mind to succeed. Believe in yourself. You can accomplish any task with God by your side." Ntiti, added.
The renowned educationist further encouraged young women to be disciplined and exhibit the fear of God wherever they find themselves. "Always be discipline. Be God-fearing. Do not sell out yourself or settle for anything else. Always aim at the top. Go to school or learn a trade or skill to survive. You can always make it."
Reminiscing on the good old days, the Octogenarian recalled that some of them did not have it so easy because then, the girl Child was hardly given the opportunity to thrive. She therefore called on young women to leverage on technology and available modern tools to succeed in their respective endeavours.
