UNICROSS Calls Off Strike, Announces Resumption of Academic Activities

The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has officially called off its indefinite strike, instructing students to return to campus for the resumption of academic activities. According to a circular released by the Registrar of the institution on March 17, 2025, all students are expected to resume school on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

The Registrar, outlined key directives for students regarding the resumption: “Academic activities will resume immediately, with outstanding continuous assessments scheduled to begin on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Additionally, revision lectures and completion of coursework are set to commence on Monday, March 24, 2025.”

The management has also reiterated the university's “No Fee, No Examinations” policy. Students are expected to pay any outstanding school fees and register for their courses within the stipulated period to be eligible for examinations. A revised academic calendar will also be released to guide students on upcoming academic activities.

UNICROSS management, through the circular, acknowledged the patience and understanding of students during the period of industrial action and urged all stakeholders to cooperate for a smooth academic session. The university further encouraged students to take their studies seriously in preparation for forthcoming examinations.
