UNICAL Senate Unbundles Mass Communication Into 6 Departments

The Senate of University of Calabar has unbundled Mass Communication into six departments.

The unbundling was approved at the 242nd meeting of the Senate of the University of Calabar, Calabar hed on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

Following the unbundling, the head of Department of Mass Communication, Dr. Lawrence Ekwok, has appointed six coordinators for the programmes.

The coordinators are Advertising, Dr Mrs Edemekong Ekpe; Broadcasting, Dr Ebituru Iwowari Pepple; Development Communication, Dr Stanislaus Iyorza; Journalism and Media Studies, Dr Ukam Ivi Ngwu;⁠ Public Relations, Dr Patrick Ene Okon and ⁠Strategic Communication, Dr Presly Obukoadata.
