UNICAL Appoints Okafor As 3rd Deputy Vice Chancellor

The Management of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has created the office of a 3rd Deputy Vice Chancellor of the Institution.

This follows the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Florence Obi's approval of the Prof. Peter Okafor of Pure and Applied Chemistry Department, Faculty of Physical Sciences as the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research, Linkages and Collaborations.

The appointment was conveyed in a letter dated 27th July, 2023 and signed by the University Registrar, Mr. Gabriel O. Egbe, indicated that the appointment took effect from July 30, 2023, is for a period of two (2) years.

According to the letter, the Pioneer Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research, Linkages and Collaborations is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear in assisting the Vice Chancellor achieve her lofty objectives of repositioning the university.
