Sports Minister Hails Canaan Queens For Sterling Performance At Continental Tourney

The Canaan Queens, players of the Canaan Table Tennis Club of Calabar have been commended for their outstanding performance at the just concluded All African Club Table Tennis Championship In Libya.

Recall that the Canaan queens represented Nigeria at the tourney and emerged runners up after losing to Petrojet of Egypt in the finals.

In a telephone call to the chairman of the Canaan Table Tennis Club Rt. Hon. Orok Otu Duke, the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan-Enoh congratulated the Canaan Queens for making Nigeria proud with their outstanding performance.

He commended Hon. Orok Duke for his passion and support for the Table Tennis game which goes to demonstrate how individuals can contribute significantly to the development of sports in the country.

Canaan Queens won all their matches at the just concluded continental games and only lost at the finals to Petrojet of Egypt.
