Senator Williams Visits Security Heads in C'River, Seeks Collaboration to Tackle Insecurity in Central Senatorial District

Senator Eteng Jonah Williams has called for collaboration with security agencies in Cross River state on how to tackle insecurity in central senatorial district.
Speaking during a courtesy visits to some heads of security chiefs in the state yesterday, Williams, commended the heads of respective agencies for their dedication and efforts in ensuring the safety and security of the community, especially during the festive season.
He stated that beside the crucial role they play in maintaining law and order, there is urgent need to tackle the recent issues of kidnapping in some communities in Ikom local government area.
He enjoined them the security agencies to improve upon information gatherings that would help avert communal clashes as they go into the farming season.
Responding, the heads of DSS, NSCDC and Police expressed their appreciation for the Senator’s visit, adding, it as a testament to his commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and properties of his constituents.
They promised to collaborate closely by pooling their expertise and resources for the greater benefit of the citizens.
The Senator visited the Commissioner of Police in Cross River State, the Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Cross River State Command and the Director of the DSS Cross River State Command.
